Icon grouping
All the following combinations will behave as a single icon along the text sequence and will not be breakable.
A*B Horizontal aggrupation
Use it to group icons horizontally, regardless of the text distribution.
Force a group of icons to behave as one
Use it to force grouped icons to stay next to each other even in columned text layout. Note that, in row text distribution, this is 100% equivalent to the normal distribution with the "A-B" operator for icons at the top level.

(A-B) Sub-aggrupation
Use it to enforce several icons to behave as a unique group. It can include an expression with other group operators as well as a simple icon sequence. It's not necessary to be used when other grouping operators are in use at the same level, since it will be equivalent. If it contains no special grouping operators other than "A-B" inside, it behaves as an alias of "A*B" operator.

A:B Vertical aggrupation
Use it to group some icons vertically within a single block. It is important to see that the height of the group will be forced to the height of the container. This is to preserve the consistency of the block throughout the text and the icons will try to distribute in height as best as possible.
Evenly-spaced icons along the block height
When the sum of the heights of all the icons in the block (including the separation between them) doesn't reach the block height, the icons will distribute along the block height to be evenly spaced.

Filling gaps before shrinking icons down
When the sum of the heights of all the icons in the block (including the spacing between them) exceeds the total height of the block, the icons will try to fit into the empty spaces before starting to shrink. They will then be distributed evenly across the block of the available block height. Please note that in most cases, in Medu Netcher, you do not need to edit the group encoding.

Shrinking icons down as the last option
If, after placing the icons in their spaces, the total height is still greater than the height of the block, then the icons will be reduced evenly until they match the height of the container.

Horizontally centered icons
All the icons in the group will be automatically centered horizontally and the resulting block width will be the same as the widest icon in the group.

Vertical grouping can be combined with any other grouping types such as horizontal, nested or even vertical as well. Sometimes, in order to make the grouping order explicit, some "(A-B)" operator will be needed.

A;B Vertical soft-aggrupation
Similar to ":" grouping, but the height of the resulting block will not force the height of the text. This means that if the icons contained in the grouping are less than 5 units wide and fit into the next or previous large icon space, the height of the block will be adjusted to best fit the available space. This grouping is useful for emulating some spacing adjustments made by ancient Egyptian scribes and is a more organic and calligraphic way of distributing icons within the line of text. It is important to note that the operators ":" and ";" They cannot be combined within a single block.

A&B Nested aggrupation
Use it to nest icons within a single block. Nesting is like horizontal grouping, but fitting the horizontal gaps that the main icon might have after displacing the small icons vertically. If one small icon precedes a big one, the vertical displacement will be downwards; if the small icon follows a big one, the vertical displacement will be upwards. Only one icon can be nested on each side of the big icon (the operator "(A-B)" to group several small icons will not work here); if you need to add several nested small icons use the operator "&&&" instead. If the nested icon is a big standalone icon, it will be scaled down to a maximum of the deepest gap found in the big icon.
